How our fees work
The thing that goes wrong most often in this business is a fee set at the end, from a feeling about how long something took. We do it the other way round.
We look before we quote
For anything beyond a straightforward return, we look at the actual file first. A quote given without seeing the work is a guess, and guesses are what produce arguments later.
Scope and fee in writing, before work starts
What is included, what is not, what it costs, and what happens if the work turns out bigger than it looked. You agree to it before we begin.
No surprise invoice
If something changes the scope, you hear about it when we find out, not when the bill arrives. Work outside the agreed scope is agreed separately or it does not happen.
